Thomatik-Infeld is excited to announce the launch of its **NEW** Dominant Pro  violin strings!  Dominant Pro is an advanced version of the original classic Dominant set, designed for the modern performing professional. Here are a few bullets below regarding similarities/differences to the original Dominant set:

How are they different from the classic Dominant (135/135B)?

·         Construction

o   D-string (DP03A) is silver wound with slightly more tension than the original 132A.

o   E-string (DP01) is carbon steel, tin-plated for enhanced durability, fuller-bodied tone and greater resistance to whistling.

o   Aluminum A-string (DP02) and Silver G-string (DP04) have been refined to offer more projection, nuance, and power while still maintaining synergy between each string (i.e., balance, cross-over consistency, etc.).

·         Performance

o   Greater volume, dynamic range and color options that are easier to modulate.

o   Slightly more focus and warmer texture than classic Dominant strings.

o   More direct bow response with greater resistance to bow pressure.

o   Initial metallic brilliance significantly reduced.

How are they similar to classic Dominant (135/135B)?

o   Distinct, familiar tone players can immediately recognize.
