Fine, silver mounted H. R. Pfretzschner violin bow. The violin bow hails from the renowed Pfretzschner master bow maker shop founded by Hermann Richard Pfretzschner who studied with E. Sartory in Paris; a beautiful piece closely following the concepts of the French models. It bears the original H. R. Pfretzschner brandstamps on shaft and frog. This strong violin bow is convenient to play and thus produces a large, warm and radiant tone. The octagonal stick is of fluid strength, tensed and strong and active player – the stick is made of remarkably beautiful dark red-brown pernambuco wood. The ebony frog is silver mounted with a Pearl eye and white shimmering pearl slide and a silver capsule adjuster.
Fully mounted in silver and wound in silver, the bow features an ebony frog with a pearl eye, with a mother-of-pearl slide. The three-piece button is silver and ebony.
